As I mentioned in a previous blog and at McB’s wedding, I’ve been target shooting a few 22s lately. I’ve also started doing a little bit of gunsmithing, which is really more screwdriving than anything.
I started with this cheap little ruger 10/22 from a local store:
after a few trips to local gun shows for a light and scope, and some mail order for the tapco stock, i’ve ended up with this:
the squirrels in my yard quake when i break out this tactical monster. not. it’s not that much more powerful than a BB gun. although israeli defense force use it.

I worry about you living in the boonies, driving jeeps with jacked up tires, making weapons, etc. How’s the bomb shelter coming along?
bomb shelter coming along pretty well. I’m trying to figure out how to get the diesel generator for electric power to feed off the home heating oil tank. and am working on solar panels.
i’m not so afraid of the bombs, but do need protection and self-sufficiency for when the ATF raid my home.
